We provide consulting, orchard design, cultivar identification, restoration, rehabilitation, preservation and management services for fruit and nut tree owners in the Northern and Eastern Sierras.
We’re not a traditional landscaping company, but rather a practice dedicated exclusively to the success of fruit and nut trees in everything from the backyard to historical and commercial scale orchards.
Our practice is largely limited to the unique environments of the eastern slope of the Sierras (in California, Inyo, Mono, Alpine, El Dorado, Placer, Nevada, Plumas, Lassen, and Modoc counties; in Nevada, Lyon, Douglas, and Washoe counties).
In keeping with the overall mission of Sophia, we provide services targeted at the back yard/small producer up to medium-sized orchards.

As ranch and farm owners we know how difficult it can be to get away; we provide professional ranch, farm, and house sitting services to keep your animals happy and your property secure so you can do just that!
We offer both per visit and overnight services to meet your needs, and we can negotiate specific plans for those who have unique or recurring needs (such as an evening check on your animals before you return from work), and those who are retired or living on fixed incomes.
We can also help with surge labor to help with specific projects around your farm or ranch.
